Jiří Jiráček Group is seeking a highly motivated individual who is willing to accept the challenge of cutting-edge research in the development of peptide hormone mimetics.

Job description:

This multidisciplinary research program combines molecular modeling-aided combinatorial chemical synthesis of peptide hormone mimetics with their biological and structural characterization. The successful applicant for this postdoc position will be an outstanding, self-driven person who will explore the organic synthesis and solid-phase synthesis of peptidomimetics as well as biological characterization of compounds.

We offer:

We offer a competitive salary financed by the European Regional Development Fund and a stable position lasting one to three years and starting on 1 January 2020. Located in the stunning city of Prague, our research facilities feature a state-of-the-art instrumentation portfolio.

Applicants must have a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry or a closely related discipline. Candidates must be the first author of at least two publications. The position requires prior experience in synthetic organic chemistry. Experience in biological testing of compounds is a definite plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required, as is the ability to conduct independent scientific investigations.
